A healthy weight loss plan is not just burning more calories than you consume. We must replace the empty nutritionally void poorly absorbed calories with nutritionally dense absorbable calories. I also recommends a daily exercise regiment consisting of both cardio and resistance training. Anything is better than nothing! Try to get 10,000 steps a day at a minimum. These steps can be obtained from walking, running, swimming, biking, rowing or any other form of cardiovascular exercise daily. I recommend doing some form of weight bearing exercise five days a week for a half hr minimum. You can join a gym and then have access to all of the fitness equipment 24 hrs a day seven days a week. However you can do these exercises at home by using resistance bands, push ups, sit ups, chin ups, deep knee bends, lunges etc…. So even if you do not have access to a fitness club you can get plenty of exercise at home. If there is a will there is a way!
It is very important to have plenty of hydration with good water while on your new weight loss journey. I recommend buying bottled spring water and not purified water since the mineral content is higher and has slightly alkaline ph, purified water is too acidic and leached of minerals. Try to drink half your body weight in ounces of water on a daily basis.
Sunshine in moderation is recommended between 11 am and 2pm to get the much needed vitamin d. Fair complected people can handle 15-20 minutes of sun on front and back and darkly pigmented people should stay out in the sun for a longer period of time. If you have any medical reason to stay out of the sun then obviously don’t go in the sun. There are many studies that indicate the sunshine and vitamin d helps in the metabolism of fat and may enhance weight loss. During this short period of time you do not want to put any sunscreen on that would block the vitamin d absorption however if you will be out in the sun for longer periods of time then use a good sunscreen. A walk down the beach is a great way to get both cardiovascular exercise and your required daily steps.
Sleep is one of the most important parts of this healthy weight loss journey. Everyone should try to get a minimum of seven hrs of sleep a night to maximize their weight loss and good health. Many good studies prove that seven hrs is the ideal amount of sleep for maximum fat reduction. There is scientific evidence that people that are sleep deprived loose 55% less fat than people that had seven hrs of sleep. Inadequate sleep creates a hormonal disruption that decreases fat loss dramatically. So make sure you get a good nights rest.
